The first Twilight movie introduced us to a brooding vampire and a mysterious friend; the saga’s 2009 follow-up introduced us to their abs. It’s easy to see why the fleshfest that is New Moon triggered countless fans to defect from Team Edward to Team Jacob. When the love story between Bella (played by Kristen Stewart) and her vampire beau Edward (Robert Pattinson) falls apart, her friend Jacob (Taylor Lautner) steps in to console her. Comforting someone with a broken heart is no easy task, but luckily for Jacob — not to mention swooning audience members — his oft-displayed rock-hard physique offers a distraction for the wounded Bella. But sadly for Jacob, in the end, Bella remains devoted to Edward, whose own rippled torso makes an impressive, albeit paler, appearance.
